The Urban Health Profile (1500 words)

The Urban Health Profile requires you to focus on two aspects: The practical (data collections and observations) and the theoretical (as per literature) to work on urban health issue chosen for report. Choose an urban health issue and conduct research in local areas to collect data. You should look for scholarly literature published in relation to issue which will inform your analysis and theoretical discussion of issue.

Assessment component 1:

a) Choose an urban health issue which can be same or different for Assessment from Urban Health Profile.

Explain how this is an Urban Health issue and the reasons to choosing this issue for the selected area with detailed description of selected area.

b) Prepare a report of the data and information gathered for the selected area for urban health issue. Analyze different aspects in relation to area and urban health issues such as size, and populations and observe related determinants that influence the issue, health and social services or facilities relevant to the issue as resources such as parks, gyms etc. This also requires you to do community inventory related to urban health issue.

c)Prepare an evaluation on the data gathered on information provided and the impact of such data on urban health issues and population health of that area. You are also required link your analysis and interpretation of data with wider literature on this issue. You are required to suggest recommendations and conclusions from your analysis.

d) The Urban Health Profile should include: a title- which reflects urban health issue and local area studied; Introduction- determines the urban health issue and area studied; A report to explain how this is an urban issue in the selected area; a proper study of the area selected including any key issues ; observed all the data collected and information gathered about urban health issue and area with placed based characteristics related to urban health issue studied( with proper scholarly references to widely published literature on the urban health issue and should be pinned with wider literature on issue discussed).
