Starting an uninteresting after a long break is quite challenging as one has to go through several developments (Simpson, 2018). While moving through this term I have studied a module i.e. FY026 which supported my knowledge and skills in several areas that I haven't learnt before. My last school was in Romania to which I belongs where I got Romanian baccalaureate. Under this module we have delivered a group presentation which supported me in developing several skills such as Referencing, Swot analyse, CV writing and interviews,group presentation, Transferable skills,Reflection, formal and informal emails Thinking into Character (TIC). As a result of attaining this coursework I become able to acquire skills like These all skills will support me gaining good grade from my coursework memory skills, analytical skills, avoiding plagiarism, the art of reflection, research skills, team work,communication skills ( verbal, non verbal, written) conflict resolution skills CV writing skill etc. This report is presented in two sections: a description of the skills I developed throughout this model and future challenges and expectations that I go through during this module.
How and Why You Have Developed as a Learner During This Module
This remains a greater experience for me to become a part of this coursework as it supported me with the development of large number of skills. I was assigned with a group presentation where we have to work as a team in order to deliver the presentation. There was a group of 4-5 members that all are different in term of their skills and capability which was a challenging factor as each individual was different in term of their perception and way of performing work (Goswami and Bryant, 2016). This in turn also sometimes results into the conflict among the team mates but while going through these conflicts we started discussion the dispute among rest of the team, members which supported me in developing the skill of conflict resolution. As at the time of conflict I use to have a personal discussion with the members and then try to bring a solution that brings benefit to both parties which supported in developing a skills or knowledge regarding the manner in which conflicts must be resolve. But on the other side it is also an favourable condition for me as it supported us to share knowledge and understanding of one another so that each one be able to learn new things. In order to work over this project we are required to gather larger amount of information so that the criteria of assignment can be meet.
For this we performed detailed instigation over internet which supported me in developing my researcher skills where I learnt to gather and analyse the information in best possible manner to conclude the finding. In addition to this I also came to know about several tools and techniques that can be used by a researcher in order to gather the information in more efficient manner. Despite of this I also came to know about the importance of referencing as it supported in presenting the authenticity of project by presenting the sources through which data is gathered. Along with this when we work at our place we use to emailing the essential contents to one another and sometimes email it to my seniors in order to take their view point toward it. This supported me in getting some knowledge about the actual difference between the format of formal and informal emailing pattern that are mainly used in corporates which will support me in future practices. In addition to this I become able to develop my communication and team working skills while working within group that are very crucial for a better career.
Further Reflections on How To Approach Future Challenges and Expectations of University Course
Enrolment to this university brings up several benefits to me in term of my personal as well as academical development. Before getting admission to this course I had a little knowledge about the academic writing as well as university requirement. There academics writing is basically refers to the way of expressing which is used by a researcher in order ton define about the intellectual boundaries of discipline along with their expertise area (Hartley,James Academic writing, NEW YORK, ROUTLEDGE,2008)’. My previous education experience was not much good as I come up with poor knowledge regarding the higher education term. Therefore It remain very essential for me to come in contact with terms to which I have not much understanding and another improvement that I want from this course of mine is to learn English language which act as a barrier for me. My expectation toward this university while taking admission is to become able to get some assistance which support me in my personal development by developing several kind of employability as well as academical skills so that I can pursue my career goal in efficient manner. By taking admission to this course I have experienced these expectations to be converted into reality as the development of these skills are becoming visible in my work. This is because by taking participation in the activities of this coursework I become able to develop several skills and capabilities such as researcher skills, communication, presentational, team work, Referencing, Reflection etc. that will support in getting a future progress. As per the St. Marie's university returning back to the education after long break remains a daunting experience for many people (Luiz Adrian, Zeszotarski and Ma, 2015). So if one is feeling overwhelming by returning to the university be assured that no one is alone here as there are number of people having same issues and they get required assistance throughout the course.
Apart from above discussion in order to deal with future challenges I will work hard and remain focused toward the university course and its modules which support me in developing my skills and knowledge to deal with challenges. In addition to this I have decided to indulge with some interactive session with my team mates for discussion future challenges that will keep us aware about the future and possible actions that we can take in order to overcome them. Despite of this I will also interact and discuss about it with my teachers as they will support me with appropriate guidance to deal with issues so that we become able to get succeed in this course work.
