Improvements Using Operations Management Frame Work

Choose a process from current place of work or past experience which helps you to observe and gather data.

1.Prepare a plan of current process with appropriate data and explanatory notes and with keys for symbols used: Cross Functional Analysis or others.

2.Assess the process for improvements with the help of management tools and frameworks, prepare a future plan of redesigned process and make recommendations for its implementation. Perform a comparison of selected organisation with operations management literature. There should be no model answer for assignment, but examples of issues with following sub themes:

a) Explain the importance of process improvement to organisation- Lean, Agile or Resilient?

b) Determine the factors that affect future?

c) Determine different process for continuous improvement? Are they adequate and if not then how to improve them?

d) Explain how plan for operation strategy transformation impact- CSR factors described in literature?

3.Evaluate the benefits whether quantitative and qualitative of improved process and your observations on organisation selected with literature.
