As more and more competition has been raised in the marketplace, the company has introduced a new Jack store at which they are rendering similar pricing as compared to their competitors Aldi and Lidl. The above report includes motivational techniques which can be used by Jack store for their employee to motivate and encourage them so that they can effectively compete with their rivals.


Motivation plays a key role in organizational success. Motivated employees are always productive resources for the company. Engaged and happy employees invariably tend to have profit and productivity for an organization. It is very crucial for managers to find what can motivate their team and employees further. Increasing motivation in the workplace is helpful for enhancing employee performance, raising morale and boosting productivity. Motivated employees of TESCO will be productive for the company's overall growth and development. Thus, they could effectively compete with their rivals in the marketplace. For this various motivational techniques are used by them to boost up their employees. This is helpful in encouraging and boosting employees to work towards attaining organizational goals effectively. If employees of Jack store work positively they will render their best and thus the company could effectively compete with its rivals. If employees are working extra ordinary then they should be recognized by the company and must be rewarded for that. Through these employees get motivated and feel valued by their company. With regard to the incentive and bonus employees will try more to work extraordinarily and attain the company's overall objective and goal in the best way they can. Overall it is helpful for the company to gain success in the marketplace.

Job Promotion-

Job promotion is the most common motivational technique which can be used by companies to boost employees. The company must provide promotions to the employees who are extraordinarily performing at the workplace. Employees of Jack Store must be provided promotion so that they could enhance their promotion and work for the betterment of the company. Promotion to the employee is a kind of appreciation that could be given by employers to their workers so that they could work to achieve organizational goals effectively. The best, skilled and talented performer will be promoted to higher posts and will be motivated. This is helpful for Jack Store to enhance the performance of their employees and thus they could compete with their rivals if their employees are working for the company's betterment (Hardcastle and, 2017).

Salary Increment-

Salary increment is also a motivational technique which companies use to boost their employee's morale to keep good work ahead. Jack store's employees should be provided with an increment in their salary as per their performance in six months. So employees will be encouraged to give their best and perform the job well. Each and every employee wants an increment in their salary which motivates them to give their best in favour of the organization. Jack store's employees will stay motivated if proper salary increments are given to them. They will be further work for the company's overall growth and development. If employees are motivated then absenteeism in the company could be reduced and thus the company could have productive work from employees (Graf, Lachance and Mishra, 2016).
